Crystal Rush:

allow things to be purchased with crystals. This then means once you have everything level 20 your not left with heaps of crystal left.

then you buy things with crystal and the more you spend the more rewards you get, just like with gold rush
Definitely want to implement something with the crystals... My suggestion so far is to use them in saddle making, please offer more specific uses
Since people don't really do bosses nowadays and only do it for dailies, here is a great idea to get it back up.
Every month on the first week make a quest where you have to beat a boss using ONLY THE SAME MONSTERS AS THE BOSS'S TYPE.

Conditions/rules
1. For example, if its a windy cliff boss, the participants may only use halfblood cards. If its a hell's realm boss, they may only use demon cards, for shimmering cave they may only use goblin types.

2. Fusion/hybrid types as well as planes creatures are NOT ALLOWED

3. Specialist type cards are NOT ALLOWED

4. The participants are to do it in a group of 4 people, record the run as a youtube video with both stage 1/2 bosses (if applicable). The video and the run must be done in 15 minutes or less.

5. Players that have already participated and are in a video may help other players but they will only be rewarded ONCE.

Reward: For players who are able to finish boss runs with all of the conditions above will be rewarded the following

1. 100k silver for each participant in the video
2. 30 Awakening fragments that match the boss type (ex: dragon's lair will award dragon awakening fragments)
3. A godlike box containing a random monster that matches the boss that was defeated. (For example: completing this challenge with windy cliff will award the participants with a random GL halfblood.)

Here's why I think its a good idea: This event should run a week long and really present our players will a tough challenge, new players and the veteran players alike because it forces them to be strategic about how they can beat the boss with access to only a certain pool of cards, it breaks the repetitive pattern of just doing bosses. This is a real challenge, but the beauty of this is that the newer players who don't have access to those crazy VIP level cards also can participate because it restricts by types of cards that can be used and encourages teamwork. I think the rewards that I listed is fair, you may adjust the silver and awakening fragments to your liking but I KNOW players want those GL cards to awaken and this would be an excellent way to bring boss runs back again. Hopefully you guys consider my idea.

That's quite an elaborate process there Oxy.... Let's abridge it/make it something realistic:
We could do player sign ups and schedule it so we can watch and verify that the players stuck to the single race rule.
The race specific awakened fragments and the silver are good ideas/fair, but godlike boxes are probably way too much of a reward; maybe we could be a bit more generous with the silver, OR do cryptic packs of the races as well

In relation to doing the bosses more, would it somehow be possible to give a player control over the bosses we currently have and doing a kind of dark champion 1v4 fight? Some of the bosses with the boss cards and player control could be really fun.
Not sure if that would be hard or easy to be implement? But if it's not hard, could it be considered?

Thank you for your feedback. Like I said, the event and reward is for your guys to implement and this was just a suggestion. I will tell you however that the rewards I suggested can guarantee both player participation and player satisfaction. The reward seem amazing yes and its supposed to be, like I said earlier this challenge is NOT EASY. If you do not believe me, you are a gm and if you have access to all the cards I personally challenge you can try it out yourself...winning a boss with just one card pool type and finishing the run (stage 1 and 2) in under 15 minutes is a far more daunting task than you think, mainly because it cuts off access to so many great cards people can use.

If you want participation and satisfaction you need the right incentives, as a player myself I know what other players want and I know how to make us happy. If you change the rewards to silver and cryptic packs there will be MUCH less people that are motivated to participate. You guys can do a "test run" of this event with lesser rewards first to see what happens and perhaps change rewards accordingly or make it tougher to beat (though the conditions I listed already make the task difficult) but the rewards I've suggested will make people WANT this. The amount of planning, skill, and collaboration involved to complete this challenge I feel should definitely warrant such rewards.


I'm very glad you folks decided to ask for suggestions because this is a very smart move. Thank you for hearing us out, hopefully some of these wonderful suggestions that are listed here get implemented.

Here are two things I have to consider: Rewards balance and what we're actually "allowed" to do
Something like a godlike box is a super top tier reward, (even if you do get a lame bat or something) and we have to be mindful not to upset the players' progression via normal means i.e. combining. However, I do know that silver itself is crucial to just about every method of letting you guys make your own cards better, and I would push for the reward for your idea to be maybe an OP amount of it..
Getting to the "allowed" to do part... Only the developers can change things that involve code or anything really integral like that, so we do have to either get them to make changes for us/you and wait for them to decide whether to do it/take the time to implement, OR we can try to do workarounds like putting that nifty little spin on the boss fights like Oxy suggested. We would have to be present to see that you guys are following the deck limitations, then we can provide loot based on what is decided beforehand

For your stick to one race for the boss fight, if you're taking skills away, are you taking saddles and runes, too?
I've lost to Dragon in a sealed game where I had really strong cards and he was playing mostly good and rare beasts, goblins, and ogres with a saddle that gave them all +6 health, which was just stupid.
Saddles can make some of these bosses easy regardless of deck limitations.

Also, I love this idea of fighting a race with itself. It makes you think outside the box with a different core of cards, something that some of the higher level players and whales (not to be rude) have lost with access to the likes of modesty mercy judgement chastity qilin and fae.

People don't really do daily events as much nowadays.
It's always disappointing to see it getting cancelled and receiving 1 pvp medal.
So perhaps you should change the rewarding system.
Maybe at gold or ruby rewards to the dailies.

Also another suggestion is to create a rewards system for 4v4's.
I rarely see them in S16.
The only time people play them is for fun or on GS.
I actually never seen a Guild Wars daily event happen :)
So perhaps add a rewards system on 4s as there is on 2s and 1s.
Or a rewards system just for a local server, doesn't need to be cross server.

Oh my goodness guys, I gotten so many pm's and replies regarding my suggestions within the last two days its crazy I never expected it to be this popular. Thanks you all!

@Cheychey: Its true that saddles DO give an advantage and I was thinking about that before I posted. Here's the thing though, most bosses have a massive amount of nukes at their disposal that do a lot of damage, in fact some of the harder boss have a "reave" skill that outright kills your monsters without any regards to damage at all (ex: Heaven's realm, King's Masoulem, etc.) Your fight with dragon is 1v1 which is different from bosses because even though your monsters do get boosted from saddle bonuses, we can only have ONE unique copy of the creature on the field at any given time and that boss can kill that creature in one or two hits anyway so the boost the saddles then give is relatively minor in that sense. With you comments on high VIP players, we can add an additional rule of evening out the playing field by saying something like (the average levels of all 4 players participating must not exceed 75). This way people cannot round up all their strong/high VIP friends to run it and have to do it with some lower level teammates to balance out the power if you want to make this harder but more fair.

Anyways, my main goal here was just to put an idea out there so the game could be more enjoyable for all of us. Whatever gets modified or suggested is up to community and the GMs themselves but once again thank you all for all your comments here (and those that pm'ed me in game), I was very surprised how much momentum my suggestion has gotten. :D^^

How about having a Guild Showdown for lower ranking Guilds.
I'm sure they would like to play, but know that they are wasting their time knowing their going to lose.

#2:
How about an "AutoPlay" event.
same as GS, but decks are on "auto".
each player should be able to use skill with this.

might come out with some different decks


and don't ask me about Awaken Human Wall Ideas

Put life into league. Make it popular.
It has big potential as is only luck and skill based and small fish can beat whales.
Also less boring than regular 1vs1.

Not sure if it is possible, but perhaps blacksmithing event? just like with how we get an alchemy event which increases success rate of combining, we could do the same for equipment. we only have a limit of using 3 gems for equipment enhancing and a limit of 4 items for equipment combining so an event for slightly increasing the chances of success wouldn't be too OP yet still welcomed by many.


As for other uses with crystals which seem to have no use after level 20 in all buildings, perhaps we can use crystals to substitute items used for card fusing? like 10k crystal = 1 elixir of life or something?
perhaps we can have event where we can use crystals to look for battlement opponents instead of silver. people really need silver for many things such as combing in cards, enhancing, making saddles...etc.. so using crystals would help save a bit and get rid of crystals that are piling up.

EDIT:
Another event that I am thinking of is one with stables. many players want good saddles but it does get expensive and time consuming. And despite the amount of materials/silver and time poured in, a player may not get a saddle they like/want. So I suggest that perhaps we can have an event to lower the amount of silver needed for crafting saddles? or an event where it lowers the time for saddle creation? or perhaps even an event that increases the chance of getting a legendary/godlike saddle?

Just a thought. whether or not it is possible will be up to you guys or your superiors. :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's a valid suggestion but considering GameSpree is a business I very much doubt it will be in their interests to do this. Certainly not for advanced mounts, but perhaps it would be a more viable proposal if it was just for the standard mounts (Roan and White Horse).

What about using crystals to unlock some new backgrounds, or to unlock some of the backgrounds already in game (like those in the early map stages). I haven't seen a snowy landscape for a long time.
