Velyn, Forget, Fireball - what happens?

If you target Velyn with forgetfulness or he gets hit by a Blue Violet, and loses nimble, and then gets hit by a fireball, when the amnesia wears off, does velyn take the burn damage, or reflect it, and if he reflects it, does it hit the caster of the fireball?

The principle is the same even with spells like Poison cloud or Toxic Skeleton.
Pretty much like this: Velyn gets an effect that says "This creature takes some magic damage".

As soon as the effect is there, it belongs to Velyn.
Therefore, Velyn takes damage from an effect, not from a creature or player.
